Dr. Shafer H. Zysman is the author of “Unrestrained Creativity-How Sandlot Baseball Can Unleash Creativity for Kids in the Tech Age,” – a book that reflects upon the significance of how children use sports as a social means to foster creativity, self-esteem and develop individual identities. Dr. Zysman has been in practice for over 40 years in the areas of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Alcohol /Substance Abuse Treatment, Behavioral Health Treatment with patients ranging in ages from childhood to the elderly. He was also involved in creating and administering programs that have helped a multitude of patients suffering from mental illness and alcohol/drug Addiction. Dr. Zysman graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, Ohio University and Adelphi University with degrees in multiple academic disciplines.
